Dracula's human wife Lisa is burned as a witch, sparking Dracula's wrath. Supernatural creatures vow to completely destroy humanity, and Eastern Europe has been torn apart in this war. As the last survivor of the Belmont family, Trevor Belmont must give up his previous lone wolf behavior and work with the kind-hearted sorceress Sypha and Dracula's half-vampire son Alucard to save humanity and curb the destructive consequences of Dracula's excessive grief. The differences between the three are too great. Alucard has a good temper but lacks goals, Sypha has left the nomadic family for the first time, and Trevor has always been a jerk. They have to work hard to maintain their odd alliance. At the same time, Dracula's unstable mood is a threat to all vampires, because he may lead them into a situation of genocide at any time.
