Plot:
Thomas Lee Tsz-yung (Lam Po-yee/Chan Kin-long) was born in poverty. When he was young, he worked hard to earn money for his mother's (Cheung Wai-yee) medical expenses. He met Sammy Fong Siu-wai (Chow Ka-yee/Tan Sheen-yen), a girl working in a tea restaurant, and they became good friends. The owner of the tea restaurant (Paul Chun/Ai Wei) assigned Thomas to Belgium to smuggle luxury watches. Due to a major mistake, he stayed in Belgium for 20 years and met Judy (Lee Si-han), his confidante who had been through thick and thin with him. Four years ago, Thomas returned to Hong Kong to open a restaurant with Sammy and met Joyce Ho Lok-yee (Miss Wai/Yeung Si-wing) whom he met in Belgium. The two hit it off and soon got together. Thomas later discovered that Joyce had been dating a man named Hu Kai-yuen (Chan Hon-yan/Huang Ding-him) for eight years and had a son (Chen Jia-qi) with a married woman named Catherine Leung Shuk-yuen (Ng Wing-wai). The relationship between the six people is complicated and confusing. Fate made their lives intertwine, they met, got to know each other, got along with each other, separated and met again, and the love and hate that entangled them for a lifetime ended up with a sigh.
