Plot:
A German film about World War II. Based on a true story, the film tells the story of a 19-year-old ordinary Wehrmacht soldier, Willy Herold, who became the so-called Emslander executioner in the last two weeks of World War II. He pretended to be an officer with a captain's uniform he found, gathered other scattered soldiers together to form a special task force, and plundered his way through the land of the Nazi Empire that was about to fall, and took the power of arrest and life and death as the example of the Führer. The film won the Best Cinematography Award at the San Sebastian International Film Festival last year.
