Plot:
Baek Jong-woo (Myeong-min Kim), who suffers from Lou Gehrig's disease, meets Ji-soo (Ji-won Ha), his childhood friend, who is now engaged in morticianship, on the day of his mother's funeral. Ji-soo's two marriages ended in failure because of her funeral profession, and Jong-woo's affectionate confession rekindled the spark of love for Ji-soo, who was cold to love. Although they always dated in the hospital and even the wedding was extremely simple, their feelings for each other became stronger with time. However, fate will not change for this. The disease Jong-woo suffers from cannot be cured medically, and his life is destined to gradually die with the paralysis of his body. Gradually, Jong-woo's muscles began to atrophy, his whole body became paralyzed and stiff, and his temper became increasingly strange because of the physical and mental pain brought to him by the disease. In order not to burden Ji-soo who has to work hard for medical expenses all day, he forces Ji-soo to leave him in various ways, but Ji-soo firmly believes that love should be burned completely, and stays with Jong-woo until his death... The film won the 30th Blue Dragon Film Awards for Best Popularity, Best Actress, Best Actor, and the 46th Baeksang Arts Awards for Best Actress in the Film Department.
