Kitada Gaku, a high school student who aspires to become a mathematician but is frustrated on this path, has lost his dream and is working part-time in the school cafeteria without doing anything. He then has a fateful encounter with the mysterious young genius chef Asakura Kai, and as "mathematics" and "cooking" intersect, the door to an unknown world is opened.
