In 1890, Englishwoman Cornelia Locke (Blunt) travels to the famous middle of America seeking revenge on the man she holds responsible for her son's death. While there she meets former cavalry scout and Pawnee member Eli Whipple (Spencer), and they unite and discover a shared history - one that must be defeated at all costs if either of them hopes to survive.
