The show tells the story of how witches ended the persecution of witches in the United States 300 years ago, but the condition was that they would become the country's fighting force. The show is set in modern times. Young women will be conscripted when they reach the age of 18 and then sent to a place called Fort Salem to learn magic combat. The protagonists are three girls. The world they live in values gender and gives power that is anti-traditional. The girls will be the defense line against terrorists, and they will no longer use guns, but supernatural powers.
