Plot:
The story takes place in China in the 1930s, when the Japanese invasion left this vast land scarred. Zhang Jisheng (Myolie Wu) was originally an ordinary woman, newly married with her husband Zhou Xiji (Eric Siu) and preparing to enjoy a happy life. Who knew that one day, she actually watched her relatives and lovers die in the hands of the enemy, and although she was living a life, she was insulted. Zhang Jisheng, who had lost everything and had no desire to live, thought of committing suicide, but was rescued by the guerrilla captain Jiang Shanghong (played by Lai Yaoxiang). In such a turbulent era, Zhang Jisheng and Jiang Shanghong had a sincere relationship, but Zhang Jisheng could not forget the hatred, and Jiang Shanghong had a dark past. This relationship had an unbearable weight for both of them. On the recommendation of Jiang Shanghong, Zhang Jisheng joined the Communist Party, transformed into the Cantonese opera Huadan "Water Lotus", secretly obtained enemy intelligence, and established repeated military exploits.
