Wu Huifei (played by Guo Shaoyun) pretends to be in love with Yang Yuhuan, but secretly frames her and stirs up grievances between Yang Yuhuan and Meifei (played by Wu Meiheng), causing the two concubines to compete for favor. On the other hand, Yang Yuhuan's cousin Yang Guozhong (played by Zeng Weiquan) is steadily promoted in the court, but he provokes Li Linfu (played by Guo Feng) to compete, and even promotes An Lushan (played by Ruan Zhaoxiang) to rebel, thus unveiling the famous "Anshi Rebellion" in history.
