Plot:
The ABC old series "MacGyver", which aired for 7 seasons from 1985 to 1992 and also made two TV movies, has been taken over by CBS for a remake. In the original series, MacGyver is a man who doesn't like to use guns, but he can solve various incidents with things like a Swiss knife. CBS has a high interest in this series. The new version will star 10 years younger. It tells the story of MacGyver, who is in his 20s, being recruited into a secret department. The show will explain how he learned a lot of different skills to solve problems. "MacGyver", which is scheduled for the fall season, has re-selected actors, screenwriters and directors after booking. Only the protagonists Lucas Till and George Eads remain from the original team. When filming the pilot episode, the director was replaced from James Wan to David Von Ancken, but when the trailer was released, it received a lot of bad reviews, so CBS cleaned up most of the actors, screenwriters and directors. James Wan took over again and was responsible for directing this new series that CBS has high expectations for. Lucas Till, who played Alex Summers (Havok) in the "X-Men" series, plays the protagonist MacGyver. He uses his extraordinary talents, unconventional solutions, and rich scientific knowledge to save others in a top-secret department of the US government. The role of George Eads in "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" is re-set as the eccentric former CIA agent Jack Dalton, who goes through life and death with MacGyver around the world to carry out high-risk missions. Sandrine Holt will play the former front-line agent Patricia Thornton, now the director of the "Department of External Services" of the action department. She doesn't like to be framed by the word "leader" and is willing to go to the front line herself. She doesn't want her subordinates to take away all the fun. Justin Hires plays the ambitious Wilt Bozer, MacGyver's roommate. Tristin Mays plays the regular role of Riley Davis, a vindictive, unpredictable computer hacker with a head full of computer coding knowledge; she was originally serving a prison sentence, so she was more than happy to work with MacGyver's team instead of staying in prison... but she was too lazy to express her gratitude. With the support of the Department of External Services, MacGyver took on the responsibility of protecting the world, armed to the teeth, and got more tools than just chewing gum and paper clips.
