Plot:
Following "Drifting on Muddy Waters" and "Dust on a Narrow Road", the "mm2 Emerging Director Project" trilogy launches "Return in July", the first feature film by emerging director Tony Hsieh. The film tells the story of a man who has lived overseas for many years and returns to Hong Kong to visit his mother who attempted suicide. In the ghostly old building of his former residence, the elderly neighbor who makes paper paper is sneaking around, the children upstairs cry for help, and the child nightmare and ghosts come to entangle again. . The ever-changing actress Bai Ling joins forces with Kong Sang, a member of the Hong Kong idol group "MIRROR", and the paper-tying master Taibao has ulterior motives. The film combines classic elements such as Eastern witchcraft and folk beliefs to recreate the Hong Kong supernatural horror genre.
