Barry, a retired Marine, works as a killer in the Midwest of the United States, but his income is meager. When he goes to Los Angeles to carry out an assassination mission, he unexpectedly takes an acting course and quickly becomes friends with his fellow actors. Barry finds a group of hopeful people in a theater in Los Angeles, which makes him want to start a new life, but the crimes he has committed before are not willing to let him go easily. Can Barry find a balance between the two worlds?
