Tammy (Shailene Woodley) and her fiancé Richard (Sam Claflin) both love extreme sports. They are driving a sailing boat, preparing to complete the grand mission of crossing the Pacific Ocean. What they didn't expect was that they were hit by a hurricane on the way. The fierce storm destroyed the sailing boat and seriously injured Richard. With Richard's constant encouragement and support, Tammy decided to cheer up and use all their knowledge of wilderness survival to save herself. The living environment at sea is extremely harsh. Not only is there no food or drink, but Richard's injuries continue to be treated with drugs. In such an emergency, Tammy must drive the damaged sailing boat to land. If they continue to drift like this, they will drift along the ocean current into the empty Pacific Ocean.
