Plot:
The story tells that in the last few years of Victoria's reign, London was plagued by the "Touched", a group of mostly women who suddenly showed abnormal abilities, some of which were charming and some were disturbing. Among this group of people is the mysterious, stingy widow Amalia True, and the brilliant young inventor Penance Adair. The two are the champions of this new underclass, establishing a home for the "Touched", while fighting against all forces to win space for those who have no place in history as we know it. This drama is the first solo drama created by Joss Whedon since "Doll Agent" in 2009. He and "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" screenwriter Jane Espenson and Doug Petrie are jointly responsible for the script. After Whedon was responsible for the first half of the first season, he withdrew from the project for some reason. Philippa Goslett was selected as the new series operator to be responsible for the second half. Whedon still retains the title of creator and executive producer.
