Plot:
In Louisiana in the 18th century, Louis (Brad Pitt), a manor owner who lost his wife and daughter, met the vampire Lestat (Tom Cruise) and was transformed into a vampire by him. Louis had human nature in his heart and was unwilling to suck blood and kill people. He lived by sucking the blood of animals, while Lestat was determined to teach Louis to become a real vampire. In New Orleans, Louis could not resist the temptation and sucked the blood of the little girl Claudia (Kirsten Dunst), and Lestat turned Claudia into a vampire despite Louis's objection. The three formed a peculiar family. Decades later, Claudia began to resent Lestat for depriving him of his real life. She designed to kill Lestat and traveled around the world with Louis, living a life like a father and daughter and a lover, looking for the same kind and the meaning of their own existence. In Paris, they met a group of vampires led by Amon (Antonio Banderas), who lived in the basement of the theater and lived a life very different from theirs. Amon taught Louis a lot and wanted to become Louis' new partner. As a result, a rift appeared between Louis and Claudia, which eventually led to an irreparable tragedy. In 1988, Louis returned to New Orleans and told a young reporter Malloy (Christian Slater) about his experience and the sadness behind the immortality of vampires. Unexpectedly, Malloy was deeply attracted after listening to it, and a new vampire story will begin from then on.
