Plot:
Although he is the son of a construction worker, George Jung (Johnny Depp) is unwilling to be bound by his lowly background. With lofty ideals, he came to California to pursue his dreams. Soon, Jung made a fortune by selling marijuana, but he was also imprisoned. In prison, Jung met his "same-suffering" cellmate, who introduced him to the drug lord Escobar (Cliff Curtis). Soon, Jung became an important hub for drug transportation in the United States, and by selling drugs, Jung made countless money. He finally lived the kind of life of luxury that he once longed for. However, in his heart, Jung felt deeply ashamed of what he had done. No amount of money could make up for the pain of not being understood and accepted by his relatives, and in the end, he could not escape the vast legal net.
