Plot:
Time flies, and Sakura Hongdori, who has become an independent obstetrician and gynecologist, comes to the remote island hospital where her former mentor Katsuhide Ogijima works. Seeing Ogijima in close contact with the island residents, Sakura begins to think about one thing. On the other hand, Shimoya, who used to be a trainee doctor, and Shirakawa, who works in the neonatal department, have become professional doctors and continue to work. Sakura, who has returned from the remote island, and the midwife Komatsu examine the hearing-impaired pregnant woman Hayami Mana. Her husband Kenji also came with her, but Kenji is a deaf-mute. Because medical terms are difficult to convey using sign language or lip reading, they use a whiteboard to communicate instead. On the other hand, obstetrician Shinomiya examines Sano Ayaka, a professional woman who wants to return to the workplace as soon as possible. Ayaka asks Shinomiya if she can give birth on the due date, but Shinomiya does not answer her, but concentrates on the B-ultrasound examination. The result of the examination shows that Ayaka's baby suffers from "ventricular septal defect", a disease with a small hole in the heart. Ayaka is very shaken by this, and Imahashi, the director of the perinatal center, and Shinomiya carefully convey this to Ayaka's husband Yasutaka. Ayaka's desire to return to work as soon as possible is intertwined with her baby's illness, which brings her doubly uneasy. And before giving birth, Mana also explained her uneasy feelings to Sakura...
