The Stargate series has been suspended since the cancellation of Stargate Universe, but MGM announced that they will shoot a 10-episode web series Stargate Origins, with Catherine Langford as the protagonist. (This year is also the 20th anniversary of Stargate SG-1) Stargate Origins, written by Mark Ilvedson and Justin Michael Terry and directed by Mercedes Bryce Morgan, will tell the early story between Catherine Langford and Stargate in a new chapter; young Catherine unravels the mystery of Stargate in unexpected adventures and saves the earth from the hands of dark forces.
