The second season of Ryan Murphy's American Crime Story will focus on the murder of fashion designer Gianni Versace. On July 15, 1997, Versace was shot dead in front of his Miami Beach villa by serial killer Andrew Cunanan, who committed suicide eight days later. Ryan Murphy will be the producer of the third season and is expected to direct the first episode.
