The story is set in modern Tokyo. Wato Tachibana (Shihori Kanjiya), who worked as a surgeon without borders in Yemen and has now returned to Japan, teams up with Sara Shelly Futaba (Yuko Takeuchi), an investigation consultant for the police force. They use their extraordinary reasoning skills to solve one unsolved case after another.
