Plot:
The story takes place in New England in the 1630s. Because he could not agree with the church's practices, the devout Puritan William (Ralph Ineson) was expelled from the plantation and forced to move to a desolate place with his wife Catherine (Kate Dickie) and a group of children. They started from scratch and went through hardships, and the unexpected disappearance of their infant son cast an indelible shadow on the family's heart. The weather was bad, the crops failed, and the relationship between the couple became tense. Catherine was thinking about her missing child and her spirit was close to collapse. During this period, Thomasin (Anya Taylor-Joy), the eldest daughter who felt that she was primarily responsible for the disappearance of her child, was in a heavy mood. Shortly thereafter, her eldest brother Caleb (Harvey Scrimshaw) encountered a witch in the depths of the jungle and became mentally disturbed. The family's life was completely in chaos. Can they be redeemed in their faith?
