A flood separated childhood playmates Mio and Noe. Mio was taken in by the proprietress of Tenman Ichijoa, a famous restaurant in Osaka. She gave Mio warmth and discovered that Mio had great talent for cooking. A fire burned down the restaurant and killed the owner. Mio and the proprietress came to Edo with the mission of reviving the reputation of Tenman Ichijoa. They were accidentally discovered by the owner of a restaurant called Tsuruya, who recalled the owner's memories of his deceased daughter.
