Plot:
In the late 1930s, the ancient Chinese nation was experiencing the most difficult moments, and countless Chinese sons and daughters shed their blood just to usher in a peaceful and free tomorrow. Li Yunlong (Huang Zhizhong), the head of the independent regiment, is one of these bloody men. He has no culture, is rude and reckless, but he is born with a strategic military mind and is good at fighting hard, tough and strange battles. He has attracted a lot of attention and respect not only from the Communist Army, but also from the National Army and the Japanese Army. It's just that his unconventional approach gave Political Commissar Zhao Gang (Ren Quan) a headache, and the two also developed a deep friendship during the quarrel and battle. At the end of the Kuomintang-Communist War, Li Yunlong was seriously injured in a duel with his old enemy Chu Yunfei (Guo Jinglin), and in the hospital he met Tian Yu (Gan Tingting), the love of his life. The country has just settled down, and this iron-boned man who has been in the army for half his life has not stopped his pace of conquest, and continues to establish greater merits for the new China... This film is adapted from the original work of the same name by the writer Du Liang.
