Plot:
This drama is adapted from the ABC News/ABC Radio podcast of the same name, telling the rise and fall of Elizabeth Holmes and her company Theranos. Amanda Seyfried plays Elizabeth Holmes, who was once described as the "next Steve Jobs" because she proposed a new technology that can be tested immediately by drawing only a small amount of blood, and thus received investment from many celebrities. However, in fact, neither she nor the company has the hard power to achieve this, so Elizabeth began to falsify data constantly under the greed of profit, and once launched a blood test machine that could not provide correct data at all; after everything was finally exposed, Elizabeth is now facing criminal charges, and if she does not plead guilty, she may be sentenced to up to 20 years in prison. Naveen Andrews plays Sunny Balwani, who is Elizabeth Holmes' business partner and secret boyfriend, and witnessed the rise and fall of Theranos. In the book "Bad Blood", Balwani was accused of being one of the reasons for the culture of fear in the company.
