After the Opium War, social contradictions in China intensified dramatically. Unable to endure the cruel oppression of the Qing Dynasty and the crazy plunder of foreign invaders, the people of various places organized themselves to fight bravely and tenaciously. In these revolutionary tides that rose and fell one after another, the "God Worshipping Society" led by Hong Xiuquan officially announced an uprising in Jintian Village, Guiping County, Guangxi on January 11, 1851, and named the country the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom. From then on, the Chinese revolution ushered in a new historical period.
