Plot:
In order to break up her marriage with her philandering brother Oblonsky (Matthew Macfadyen) and sister-in-law Dolly (Kelly Macdonald), which is on the verge of collapse, the beautiful lady Anna Karenina (Keira Knightley) takes a train to Moscow. She meets the cavalry officer Vronsky (Aaron Johnson) there. The latter is elegant and handsome, which makes Dolly's sister Katie (Alicia Vikander) infatuated, and also makes Anna, who is already a married woman, feel moved. Fearing the gossip around her, Anna suppresses her inner emotions and returns to her home in St. Petersburg at night. The husband Alexander Karenin (Jude Law), who is obsessed with fame and fortune, seems to be completely unable to sympathize with his wife's distress. Before long, Vronsky followed to Petersburg, and Anna could no longer close the door of her heart full of love and longing... This film is adapted from the classic work of the same name by the great writer Leo Tolstoy and won the 2013 Oscar for Best Costume Design.
