"Queen of Winds" is a court romance TV series produced by CBS and broadcast on the American CW TV station. The story tells the secret history of the rise of Queen Mary, a famous monarch in British history. At the age of 15, she came to France with four best friends. She was engaged to Prince Francis; her four good friends became her female servants, but she was caught in the vortex of power struggles, conspiracies and lies in the French court. In the French court shrouded by powerful enemies, dark forces and sexual scandals, Mary and her friends will use their strength and wisdom to step up to the pinnacle of power. The series was filmed in Ireland, the Emerald Island. CW focused on creating the costumes, scenes and music of the series, and invited Australian actress Adelaide Kane, who has a classical beauty, and British handsome boy Toby Regbo to star in the series. It will be broadcast every Thursday at 9 pm with The Vampire Diaries, and won the 40th People's Choice Award for the Most Popular New Series. On February 14, 2014, CW announced that it would book the second season of "Queen of Winds", which will be broadcast in mid-October 2014.
