Plot:
Discovery Channel's 8-episode FBI crime drama "Manhunt: Unabomber" (formerly known as "Manifesto") is scheduled to premiere on August 1, US time, with the first episode being a two-hour episode. "Manhunt: Unabomber" is executive produced by Kevin Spacey and Dana Brunetti, and Andrew Sodroski, who wrote the pilot episode of the show, is also responsible for producing the show. The show is based on real life. The university bomber Ted Kaczynski is a university mathematics professor with a high IQ of 167. He caused 3 deaths and 23 injuries by committing bomb crimes. The show mainly tells how the FBI catches those notorious "excellent" criminals. The first season will focus on FBI agent Jim "Fitz" Fitzgerald (played by Sam Worthington), a specialized linguist who is not used to collecting intelligence using old methods. He used his unconventional methods to bring the "University Unamber" who had been hiding for nearly 20 years to justice. The key was that he discovered that the true identity of the "University Unamber" might be hidden in his "manifesto", which was also one of Kaczynski's many conspiracies. Paul Bettany plays Ted Kaczynski, known as the "University Unamber", and John Berchtold will play Ted Kaczynski in his youth.
