Plot:
The classic drama thriller "The Silence of the Lambs" plans to launch a spin-off series. CBS has booked the script for the new drama "Clarice", which is based on Agent Clarice Starling, played by Jodie Foster in the movie. It tells the story of a year after the events of "The Silence of the Lambs" in 1993, when she returned to the front line to hunt down serial killers and sex offenders, while also navigating the high-stakes political world of Washington. Alex Kurtzman ("The Mummy", "Star Trek: Discovery") and Jenny Lumet ("Rachel's Wedding", "Star Trek: Discovery") serve as screenwriters and executive producers of the show. If developed smoothly, it will be launched in the 2020-21 broadcast season.
