The second season of Poirot consists of 10 episodes and was broadcast in 1990. Episodes 1 and 10 are adapted from novels and are 100 minutes long; the other 8 episodes are adapted from short stories and are 50 minutes long. Episode 10, "The Mysterious Case at Styles", was a special episode launched by ITV in September 1990 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Agatha Christie's birth. It was adapted from Agatha Christie's first novel and is also Poirot's first case in chronological order. It is suitable to be watched as the first episode of the whole series. 1.
