Seventeen-year-old Kiriyama Rei (voiced by Kengo Kawanishi) is a shogi player. His tragic childhood made him lose his family at an early age. For so many years, he has been living alone with heavy memories. Over time, Rei has become accustomed to suppressing his emotions and built an unshakable wall around his heart. One day, Rei met the three sisters of the Kawamoto family - the eldest sister Kawamoto Akari (voiced by Ai Chino), who is gentle and considerate and good at taking care of others, the second sister Kawamoto Hinata (voiced by Kana Hanazawa), who is cheerful and optimistic and very bad at housework, and the younger sister Kawamoto Momo (voiced by Misaki Kuno), who is still in the nursery. The appearance of the three sisters made Rei feel the warmth of home again and regain the long-lost happiness. At the same time, the appearance of strong opponents such as Nikaido Harunobu (voiced by Nobuhiko Okamoto), Triceratops Snow (voiced by Tomokazu Sugita) and Matsumoto Issa (voiced by Akira Momo), also ignited Rei's love and fighting spirit for shogi.
