Plot:
The BBC2 historical TV movie series "The Hollow Crown" is a new interpretation of four classic Shakespeare works, namely "Richard II", "Henry IV, Part 1", "Henry IV, Part 2" and "Henry V". During the 2012 London Olympics, in order to show British culture to the world, these four TV movies will be promoted to the world as the key recommended repertoires of the London Cultural Olympics and broadcast in June 2012. "Henry IV" is the second part of the series. Henry IV, who seized power from Richard II, will be played by Oscar winner Jeremy Irons, and the director of "Chronicles of a Scandal" Richard Eyre will direct the film. Tom Hiddleston, Thor's brother "Loki" in "The Avengers", will play Prince Hal, Simon Russell Beale will play Sir John Falstaff, and Alun Armstrong will play the Earl of Northumberland. "Henry IV" shows the fascinating history of Britain in the Middle Ages and will perform the most ambitious Shakespeare adaptation in recent years. "Henry IV" is the most successful and popular of Shakespeare's historical plays, and is regarded as a representative work of Shakespeare's historical plays. The main content of this work reflects the process of Henry IV and his princes fighting a desperate battle with the rebellious princes and nobles. Shakespeare broke through the network structure of traditional historical dramas with multiple intertwined plots and adopted a structure with two plots developing in parallel - the plot of court life represented by Henry IV and the plot of urban life represented by Falstaff.
