Plot:
Today, Hong Kong is one of the most internationally recognized cities for corruption. However, in the 1960s and 1970s, corruption was rampant and permeated all levels of society. Bribery and bribery became part of people's lives, and people were living in poverty! It was not until the establishment of the Independent Commission Against Corruption in 1974 that a great turnaround occurred! While adhering to the mission of "fighting corruption and promoting integrity", the ICAC has also actively produced "Integrity Series" TV dramas over the years to promote the "anti-corruption" message to the audience. In 2014, the ICAC celebrated its 40th anniversary. The ICAC once again joined hands with TVB to produce the TV series "ICAC Action 2014". Five well-known Hong Kong film directors, including Wong Siu-ping, Tong Kam-ming, Herman Yau, Teddy Robin and Cheung Kwok-ming, were invited, with Academy Award-winning director Danny Lam serving as consulting director. Together, they adapted five real corruption cases that the ICAC had handled in the past into powerful unit stories. These include the supermarket milk powder corruption case "Tomorrow" which is closely related to people's livelihood, the construction engineering corruption case "Spider", the listed company corruption fraud case "Money Mystery", the anti-fake football case "Black Ball" with young people as the main line, and the public institution corruption case "Comrades". The five dramas have a strong cast, including Liu Qizhi, Kuo Zulin, Wang Minyi, Cheng Danshui, Tse Kwan Ho, Raymond Wong, Chan Wai, Chan Chi Sun, Tang Lai Ming, Chan Chin Peng, Cheung Kwok Keung, Kwan Lai Kit, Wong Ho Shun, Kenny Wong, etc. The new series "ICAC 2014" has been extended from one hour to one and a half hours to increase the sense of cinema, carefully portray the inner world of each character, and with a compact plot, convey the message of the anti-corruption work being passed down from generation to generation!
