Yushi Inaba (voiced by Atsushi Abe) is a first-year boy who has just been admitted to Tojo Business School. Because of his unfortunate childhood, Inaba has been living in the homes of relatives and living a life of dependence. Now, having been admitted to a boarding high school, Inaba is full of longing for a free life in the future. Inaba moved into an apartment called Shouzhuang. What he didn't expect was that this was not an ordinary apartment, but a monster apartment where monsters and humans live together. Inaba's landlord is a monster that looks like a black penguin. Overcoming the fear at the beginning, Inaba began to live with the monsters. As time went on, Inaba discovered that these monsters with strange appearances actually have kind hearts. Their existence gradually healed the scars in Inaba's heart.
