The plot tells the story of U.S. Army Ranger Brig (Channing Tatum)'s mission to bring Belgian shepherd dog Lulu from Joint Base Lewis-McChord along the Pacific Coast to Nogales, Arizona in time to attend Lulu's trainer's funeral, and a deep friendship is cultivated between the man and the dog along the way.
