Plot:
Dr. Harry Dalton (Pierce Brosnan) is a volcanologist at the U.S. Geological Survey. This time he was sent to inspect a small town on Dante Peak, where Dante Peak is a dormant volcano near Washington. Harry came to the town just as Mayor Rachel (Linda Hamilton) was hosting a celebration because the town had just won the second place in the best living environment in the United States. Rachel and her two children took Harry around. Passing by the hot spring lake, Harry noticed that the lake water was too acidic and found two cooked floating corpses.
