The third season of Inspector Morse: The Prequel is set to air on ITV in January 2016. The new season will be set in 1967, and the plot will continue from the end of the second season. It will still be co-starred by Shaun Evans and Roger Allam, with Russell Lewis as the screenwriter and Colin Dexter, the author of the Inspector Morse series of novels, as the consultant. The four episodes of this season are titled "The Journey", "The Utopia", "The Hunt", and "The Finale".
