The story begins in a plastic surgery center. Sean (Dylan Walsh) and Kristen (Julian McMahon) are two attending physicians with different personalities. Every day, they face many patients who are eager to change their appearance. There are countless sad or happy stories hidden behind their faces. For these patients, the highly skilled Dr. Sean and Dr. Kristen are obviously omnipotent God. However, the "God" in the eyes of these two patients is also facing their own abyss of life. The relationship between Sean and his wife Julia (Joely Richardson) is deadlocked. Although he has made various efforts to save the marriage, it has little effect.
