The series is set in Northern Ireland and tells the story of Jamie, a 19-year-old from Sheffield who becomes a crew member on a cruise ship. The overworked and underpaid protagonist gets on board because her sister used to be a member of the crew but is missing, so he has to go to the ship in person to investigate.
