The story tells about a bullied girl named Maddie, who one day gets mysterious help from someone online, and she soon discovers that the person is her late father, David. David's brain is scanned and uploaded to the cloud, making him the first example of a new species, Uploaded Intelligence, but his existence is about to trigger a new world war.
