Twelve years after the Meiji Restoration, Japan has entered a new era. Kenshin Himura, once a powerful executioner, has become a pacifist and lives a quiet life with his friends in Tokyo. One night, Kenshin's favorite restaurant was attacked by artillery fire, leaving behind a note that read "People will be killed" - someone is ready to take justice away from heaven, and the day of judgment is approaching. This person is Yukishiro Enishi, who bears a grudge against Kenshin and brings his men to seek revenge.
