The protagonist, Bo, is an extremely anxious but seemingly affable man who has a strained relationship with his overbearing mother because he has never seen his father. Bo learns of his mother's death under mysterious circumstances and makes his way home only to discover shocking facts about his past. During this journey, he encounters all kinds of crazy supernatural threats.
