Plot:
In Copenhagen in 1926, landscape painter Ena (Eddie Redmayne) and Gerda (Alicia Vikander), who is good at figure painting, got married. Because the model missed the appointment, Gerda persuaded Ena to put on women's clothes to save the scene in order to successfully complete the painting. This accident caused Ena to have an extra female personality "Lily", who also became the muse of his wife, making Gerda famous. However, as the sleeping female personality was awakened, Ena began to hate his body as a man. He gradually discovered that Lily was not only an artistic existence, but also his true self. Gerda did not expect that it was just a temporary game, but it actually dropped a bombshell for her life. How can she continue to love her partner? They never gave up in various social criticisms and misunderstandings. In the end, Gerda encouraged Ena to completely become Lily... "The Danish Girl", adapted from the life of the world's first transgender person, tells a love across gender and sexual orientation, recreating the legendary story of a Danish painter who first underwent gender reassignment surgery and his wife. The film was directed by Oscar-winning director Tom Hopper and was shortlisted for the Golden Lion Award at the Venice Film Festival.
