Plot:
Blade Runner is getting anime! AdultSwim (Rick and Morty) has announced Blade Runner—Black Lotus, a 13-hour Japanese anime-style series with a stellar cast: Produced by Sola Digital Arts (Ultraman), with Shinji Aramaki and Kenji Kamiyama, the Ghost in the Shell duo, directing all episodes of the first season, and Shinichiro Watanabe (Cowboy Bebop) serving as creative producer. The plot is still a secret, but the story will take place in 2032, in the same decadent future world where replicants exist, and will feature familiar characters from the Blade Runner universe. The series is primarily inspired by the second film in the series, Blade Runner 2049.
