The story takes place in a kingdom called Mahishmadi, where a fierce battle for the throne is in full swing between Bahubali (Prabhas) and Baharaladeva (Rana Daggubati). Bahubali is upright and brave, and firmly believes that he must win the throne with his true strength, while Baharaladeva is just the opposite. In order to get what he wants, he is insidious and cunning and willing to do whatever it takes. In the end, Bahubali, who represents justice, became the king, but Baharaladeva carried out an assassination and usurped the throne. Bahubali's son was living among the people and was adopted by a kind family and named Shiva (Prabhas). After becoming an adult, Shiva learned about his life experience and that he had royal blood flowing in his body. He decided to overthrow the tyranny of the ruler and take back his throne.
