The story takes place at the end of the Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China. Marshal Xu (played by Xu Jinjiang) obtained the Five Demons in the tomb and took it together with the Golden Buddha that suppressed them. At first, due to the suppression of the Golden Buddha, the Five Demons dared not act rashly. However, the housekeeper saw the Golden Buddha and stole it. The Five Demons finally regained their freedom and were ready to make trouble. Marshal Xu has four wives. The Five Demons possessed the body of Marshal Xu and planted their fetuses in the bodies of four women. The chef Chuliu (played by Zhang Jincheng) and his lover Xiaoyu (played by Wu Chenjun) in the mansion were also not spared. After that, the Five Demons cruelly killed Marshal Xu, who was no longer useful. The exorcist Qinghai (played by Anthony Wong) learned of this and joined forces with Chuliu to vow to subdue the Five Demons. After several thrilling battles, Qinghai was seriously injured and his life was not guaranteed.
