One night, Helen Benson (Jennifer Connelly), a professor of space microbiology at Princeton University, was taken away by the police and several mysterious people. She was accompanied to the Lynwood Military Academy in New Jersey by numerous top scientists in the industry. It turned out that NASA discovered an unidentified object approaching the earth rapidly while exploring outer space. Soon, an object shining with white light came over Manhattan and landed in the middle of a New York park. The people, scientists and the military surrounded it. After a while, an alien (Keanu Reeves) who looked very similar to humans and a tall robot appeared in front of humans. The rude humans completely wasted the kindness of the alien visitors, and what fate awaited humans? This film is a remake of the 1951 science fiction film of the same name, and won the 2009 American Science Fiction and Horror Film Academy Award for Best Young Actor (Jaden Smith).
