Plot:
The story is adapted from a real event and took place in a monastery in Italy in the 17th century. Beneditta (Virginie Efira) was born in a wealthy and devout Christian family. At a very young age, she was sent to a monastery by her parents for further studies and trained as a nun. In that era, it was such a lucky thing for a girl to enter a monastery. In a blink of an eye, many years have passed, and Beneditta has grown into a big girl and has become the right-hand man of the abbess of the monastery, Fulicita (Charlotte Rampling). One day, a ragged girl rushed into the monastery for help. Her name was Bartolomea (Daphne Patakia). With the help of Beneditta, this poor girl who was abused by her father and brother entered the monastery and became a novice nun. However, Bartolomea was as difficult to tame and discipline as a wild horse, and her appearance soon made Beneditta feel tricky and difficult to resist.
