The play mainly tells the story of the younger brother Shen Fang (played by Zhang Yishan) and the older brother Shen Lin (played by Pan Yueming) who originally belonged to different camps, but finally devoted themselves to the cause of proletarian democratic revolution because of the same ideals and beliefs.
