The film revolves around a legend that interweaves the past and the present, focusing on Japan's most famous suicide site, Aokigahara Forest. One day, Hibiki and his sister found a cursed box under the house, which is said to take the life of anyone who touches the box. In order to find out the reason for their mother's suicide and the truth about the box, the two went to the legendary forest together.
